Lecture - Sept 28th
At the lecture on Tuesday, Marianne Dages, a book artist and printmaker, talked to us about her work. As a freshman she enrolled in University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she majored in photography. After she graduated she didn't know what she wanted to do with photography, but she did know she wanted to find a studio to herself to immerse herself in her art. She went a school in North Carolina in the mountains near Ashville. At this school there wasn't much to do so you just concentrate on work all the time and she developed her first studio here. I really liked her book binding and each was one of a kind.
