Lecture- Oct. 5th

At the lecture this week, Doug Bucci spoke to us. About 6 years ago Doug wanted to be a painter. Now he has almost completed or already completed a degree in metals and a master of fine arts at Tyler.  Also, he has taught metalsmithing at Tyler.  He has diabetes and he brings that into his art. A lot of his work is influenced by his diabetes.  For instance, he made an emergency insulin kit as a piece of art.  I think it's really aspiring that he uses his diabetes in his artwork.  Your are is you and everypart of you should be portrayed in your art in my opinion.
