Candy Depew was the speaker at the lecture on Tuesday. She was born in Cleveland and got her BFA at Kent State University in ceramics, jewelry/metals, drawing and cultural anthropology. To earn her MFA she enrolled in Tyler School of Art. She travels around the world to research the decorative arts, ornamental prints, and museum collections. Also, she showed us clips of her t-shirt designs and jewelry. This lecture was very interesting and I loved Candy's artwork.
